December 31        "Serving Others"

If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have
given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not
greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if
ye do them.

Many things Jesus did during his time on earth and most of it he showed us and taught us by parables.  But with the
washing of the feet, Jesus showed us by doing it himself so that we can see, through His example, what we ought to
do.  Even though we are to wash each others feet, our lives of service should not be confined to the act of washing feet
only.  We should have a lifestyle of washing each other’s feet in humbly laying down our lives for each other.  I want to
take note of the fact that John did not mention the communion (which is so important) in His gospel, but replaces it
instead with the washing of feet.  It talks of how Jesus laid aside His garments before he started washing and then He
picked it up again afterwards.  Just like communion symbolizes Jesus’ death and burial, so does the washing of feet.
Jesus laid aside his garments in death and humbled himself in coming to serve us (just as he was humbled by the
cross).  Then just as He was resurrected again from the dead, He takes up his garments again.  Jesus also told Peter
that He cannot have a part in Him if Peter doesn’t allow his feet to be washed.  The same is true with the cross.  We
cannot have a part of Him if we don’t allow the cross to become part of our lives, in believing in His death and

December 30        "Prosperous Way"

We are to do all that we are taught in the Word of God to do.  We will then have opportunity for our way to be prosperous
and have success as it says in Joshua 1:8.  “
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt
meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then
thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
”  We see that we are to observe
everything that is commanded us in the Word of God, without changing it.  “
What thing soever I command you,
observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
”  (Deuteronomy 12:32)

December 29        "Be not Ashamed"

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;
to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
”  Romans 1:16

The power of God to salvation to everyone that believes is this Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  Are we not to
become like him?  At the cross crucified?  Let not sin separate you from the Gospel and from the cross and be not
ashamed for this Gospel.  Paul encouraging us not to be ashamed of the Gospel, which means that in that time there
were some who were ashamed of it and would not preach it others or would do it only in part to cover themselves.  Be
not like those whom Paul spoke to, and be not ashamed of it but boldly give that which God has so freely given to you.
Do not be afraid for perfect love cast out all fear!

December 28        "Let the Light Shine"

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God,
who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of
the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of
the power may be of God, and not of us.
(2 Corinthians 4:5-7)

The whole matter is about Jesus who is the Lord and we are only but servants to this cause.  Jesus is the light that
shined out of darkness as we see in John 1, and that light who is Jesus has shined in our hearts to reveal everything
that is hidden and thereby diminish and erase the effects of sin, in order that our lives may bring complete gory to
Jesus, who is the Light.  It is a reflection; His light shining on us in order to reflect back to Him and exalt the Him, the
Lord of Lords.  It is a magnification of His Light (the Light), but only when we allow that Light into our hearts.  This is the
treasure that we carry; God's power and not our own.  Allow His Light into your heart and do not hold back for He is a
revealer of secrets.  ("
The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a
Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets...
" Daniel 2:47)
It is better that the Light shines than your secret exposed.

December 27        "Goodness of God"

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for
” Psalm 23:6

David suggests that His happiness is not set on the pleasures of this world but rather on the presence of God.  It is
spoken of David in Acts 7:46 “
Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
Dwelling in His house and in His presence allows for God’s favour to rest on you.  With His favour going before you,
only goodness and mercy shall follow you as you dwell in His presence.  This same goodness leads us to
repentance.  With a repentant heart can we continue to dwell in His house.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness
of God leadeth thee to repentance?
”        Romans 2:4

December 26        "Jesus"

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the
beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him
was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it
"  John 1:1-5

December 25        "Jesus"

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his
name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word
was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full
of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after
me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.
(John 1:12-16)

December 24        "Jesus is Come"

"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger;
because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord
shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you
good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes,
lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and
saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels
were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem,
and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
(Luke 2:7-15)

December 23        "Jesus is Coming"

"But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph,
thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a
virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being
interpreted is, God with us.
(Matthew 1:20-23)

December 22        "Peace"

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:"  (Heb 12:14)

Follow peace with all men especially during this Christmas season, for Christ is our peace and to pursue peace is to
pursue Him.  Allow God to sanctify you unto holiness.  Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord.  One cannot see
Him through a perspective of unholiness.  Cleanse yourself and cleanse your perspective so that you can come into a
place of holiness.  At that place, you can see through God's perspective and you can come boldly unto Him.
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God."
(1John 3:21)

December 21        "Holiness"

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto
you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former
lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
"  (1Peter 1:13-16)

God, who is holy has called us unto holiness.  It is therefore a possibility to become holy.  God would not call us to
such an estate if it is not possible, but it is not possible in ourselves, but only in Christ.  Although we cannot do it in our
own strength, we have to make the choice to walk in it and to gird up our minds and our actions, our conversations and
our motives.  Guard yourself so that you don't fall short in this area.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will
of God.
" (Romans 12:1-2)

December 20        "Fall on the Stone"

"Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is
become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you,
The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever
shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
" (Mat 21:42-44)

Christ is the stone which the builders rejected.  If you are building your own kingdom and you reject the chief
cornerstone for your building, you will be grounded to powder.  Do not reject that which Christ is all about.  Surrender
wholeheartedly to Him and in falling on that stone in surrender and submission, your will shall be broken and life shall
come forth.

December 19        "Rejoice in your Suffering

"And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they
should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council,
rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house,
they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
"  (Acts 5:40-42)

When a move of the Holy Spirit is present, the flesh is also present.  The enemy of our souls will always oppose that
which God is doing in and through our lives.  When a work of God therefore is in process, there will always be
opposition.  Happy are ye when you are going through various trials and tribulation for you are counted worthy to suffer
for His name.  If you bear it well your reward will be in Heaven, but let Christ's name be glorified and not your own.
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on
their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
" (1Peter 4:14)

December 18        “Rejoice in Your Provider!”

I heard the Spirit of the Lord saying, “I love you and bless you now with abundance as you count your blessings.  Now
you will see more of it and the increase is here!  Rejoice in it, for to rejoice is to thank Me and that is what I meant all
along – it is seeing it by the eyes of faith.  Enjoy this journey now and every day there will be more to rejoice over as your
heart gets focused on My goodness and grace.  And so you will see more of it and the cycle will expand in
multiplication.  The key is “joy”-  in Me as Your Provider!”

December 17        “Focusing on the Lord”

Psalm 19:14        “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD,
my strength, and my redeemer.
” - KJV

What and whom I focus on, will fill my heart and my mouth.

Let us examine our focus point and we will be surprised at the way our attention can so rapidly switch to the negative.
When we ponder upon negativities, it will defile and contaminate our heart with bitterness, resentment, anger and the
like and bitter fruit will come out of our mouths.

Our hearts need to be cleansed of negative memories by forgiveness through the blood of Jesus.  Therefore every
thought has to be taken captive in obedience to Christ and we have to consciously direct our thoughts back to that
which is described in Phil. 4:8 so that our hearts can be found acceptable in the sight of the Lord, glorifying Him in all
thoughts and words.

Phil.4:8        “
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are
just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be
any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
” - KJV

Part of holiness is to walk with a pure heart before the Lord.  Let us consciously discipline our minds to focus on Him
alone, being in a constant state of worship and adoration.

December 16        “Becoming A Well”

John 4:14-15        “But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty any
more.  But the water that I will give him shall become a spring of water welling up (flowing, bubbling) [continually]
within him unto (into, for) eternal life.  The woman said to Him, Sir, give me this water, so that I may never get
thirsty nor have to come [continually all the way] here to draw.

The prophetic word of encouragement for you today is, that you would always purpose to "pour your life out as a
consecrated 'drink offering'", so others may find His well springing up from your belly unto eternal life.  People around
the world, throughout the depths, the height and the breadth of land, are thirsty for living water.  Allow yourself to be
filled to the brim, then to the overflow with the power, peace and presence of the Living God.  Draw living water from the
Fountain Himself, that you might be the "drink offering" that another might need.  He has called you to be His
ambassador in the Earth, that would meet the needs of a dying mankind.

When we choose by a direct act of our own will to offer ourselves up as living sacrifices, holy and consecrated unto the
Lord, most certainly being led by His Holy Spirit, others will live, others will be revived, others will be renewed, others
will be restored.  Our sacrificial giving of our selves as consecrated "drink offerings", is our reasonable service.  [See
Romans 12:1-3].

We are living in an hour where mature men and women of God must purpose in their hearts with a "bull dog tenacity",
to give and lay down their all on the altar of sacrifice.

Pour your life out as a consecrated drink offering that others might see, know and perceive that there is a Fountain of
living waters welling up from on the inside of you, offering unto them the eternal life which the Father has provided by
and through the sacrificial shedding of the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Come on TAKE A DRINK from the FOUNTAIN that shall never run dry.  THEN become the DRINK that others need for
deliverance, salvation, healing, breakthrough, restoration, renewal and revival in throughout the land!!! Die to yourself,
then live as unto the Lord

December 15        "Be Strengthened"

Psalm 45:7-8        “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee
with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.  All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory
palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
” - KJV

Let us jump into the river and flow on the streams of the Holy Ghost, enjoying the Presence of the Christ inside of us,
drinking into the Spirit and be smeared with His anointing oil of gladness and perfumed with the fragrance of worship
in intimacy with Him.  This way we will stay refreshed, strong in His power of His joy and overcoming every adverse
situation with the weapons of our warfare in Christ.

Father, we ask in Jesus’ Name, “anoint us in Your river of Life with the oil of joy for strength to endure and to overcome
every negative situation in our lives,  for:
2 Corinthians. 12:9        “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly
therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
” - KJV

Col 1:10-11        "
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and
increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience
and longsuffering with joyfulness.
" - KJV

December 14        "Eyes of the Lord"

"The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry."  (Psalm 34:15) KJV

The righteous are those who are in right standing with God.  He reveals Himself to those whose cry are unto Him and
not unto the deliverances that this world has to offer.  His ears are open towards their cry.  Are you crying out to God for
a breakthrough.  Are you crying out to God for a miracle?  Are you righteous?  Are you in right standing with Him?  Are
you in obedience to His Word?  The preceding verses say:  "
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking
guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
"  (Psalm 34:13-14)
If you are obedient to God's Word and you have a cry in your heart for deliverance as one that is standing in
righteousness with God, He will answer your cry.  His eyes are on you and He will not let you stand ashamed.  Commit
unfailingly to His Word and see the Salvation of the Lord.

December 13        "Guidance with His Eye"

"Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of
deliverance. Selah.  8  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine
" (Psalm 32:7-8)

He will guide you with His eye.  When our eyes are fixed on Him and when we are in a place of beholding Him, then we
will know where His eyes are leading us.  We are then guided by His leading and not guided by our feelings or
emotions.  When we are totally surrendered to Christ, we will go where ever His eye is guiding us.  Keep your eyes and
your focus on Him.

December 12        “Silence”

Psalm 46:10-11        "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the
earth! The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.
" - NKJV

It is in the silence that we encounter Him.  Silence is a kind of language – God’s way of drawing you to Him in love.
  • You must provide Him with a SPACE TO BE ALONE WITH HIM  where you can LISTEN to HEAR. JESUS always
went off to pray by Himself where He could COMMUNE WITH HIS FATHER in solitude, without distraction.
  • WITHDRAW into solitary prayer and cultivate INNER SILENCE & ABANDONMENT TO GOD to QUIET
  • LISTEN to HEAR His instruction in the PLACE OF QUIET in your heart and receive His Word which will change
your situation and not return to Him void when you speak it over your situations and circumstances.

December 11        “Watching And Listening”

Beloved, this is a time for increase and expansion for those who are watching and listening intently to see what the
Spirit is saying.  It is a time to venture into new territory for those who will walk in faith to possess their promises and
step into the destiny that God has prepared for them!

Incline your ear, go higher up to worship and listen for the voice of provision on the Mount.  When you hear His call, step
out on the water.  He will be there, stretching His hand out to you!

It is time to shake yourself loose from everything that has held you back, especially the limitation of your mind-set.  Go
beyond your own barriers and break through into the seemingly impossible.  It is only a step of faith and trust when you
have heard His voice.

Is. 55:2  "
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear,
and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you-- The sure mercies
of  David

Listening intently

December 10        “Heavenly perspective”

Isa 40:31  “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
” - KJV

When we pray not only in the Spirit, but into the spirit realm, we rise above our circumstances and negative situations,
out of the natural into the supernatural.  Here we can soar on the wind-streams of the Holy Spirit, getting heavenly
perspective from the Throne Room and then releasing the Kingly decrees over the earthly realm, bringing heaven to

PRAYER: “Let Your will be done Father, on earth as it is in heaven so that Your Kingdom can be established and Your
Name be glorified!”

December 9        “A Call To Come Up Higher”

Rev 4:1        “After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as
it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be
” - KJV
We are on the threshold of a new dimension in the spirit realm.  A trumpet call is coming forth from the Throne Room,
inviting us to come through the opened door of His Provision, to come up higher into the heavenly realms and
experience the glory of His Presence.  It is a wake-up call for those who are slumbering in their comfort zones to
awaken us to Reality and fill our minds with eternity.
The Lord is calling us to higher ground, but the choice is ours whether we would be willing to step up out of the old and
embrace the new move of His Spirit. It calls for a climbing of the mount of His Presence until I am not in sight anymore
– lost in the cloud of His Presence where the fire of His glory will change me and transform me into His image.  The
Lord wants to pour out His glory over us and write His laws on the tablets of our hearts and saturate us so with Himself
that we will be on fire with His glory to go into the highways and alleys of the world with a heart set on fire with His love-
gospel to save the lost.
Will you come up higher? Will you disentangle yourself from the busyness and distractions of your little world and turn
your heart fully to Him to be enlarged in your thinking, seeing the bigger picture of His plan for your life, in an ever-
enlarging vision that will reach the world with His great commission to take the gospel to the ends of the earth?  Will
you die to self and your own agendas and fix your eyes on Him to embrace His life of the Spirit?  Will you position
yourself through this death to self to be ready to ride this coming wave of His glory in the resurrection power of the Spirit
so that He can truly be glorified in and through you?
Prayer: Father, help me to separate myself from the distractions of this world and to die completely to sin, self and the
world so that I can come into a deep, intimate relationship with the God-head, be changed into the image of Christ and
fulfill the great commission.  Give me a deep hunger and thirst for more of You,  in Jesus’ Name.   Amen

December 8        "Union"

The loss of my own life of self brings me into a faith walk, a walk of humility and dependence and total trust in Him.

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.  Yet indeed I also count all things loss for
the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count
them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ  and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the
law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;  that I may know Him
and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,  if, by any
means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
( Phil 3:7-11) - NKJV

There is nothing in this world that can measure up to the glory of the abundant Life in Christ, but the issue of self-denial
lies in the heart.
To maintain a life in the Spirit, IN Christ, we have to consecrate ourselves DAILY to the Lord, deny the self, take up the
cross and follow Jesus.   Then abide…………!
This way of life will bring an end to all our false motives, our own agendas, our preferences and indulgences, our
malice and hypocrisy and guile, our self ability and self sufficiency, our self awareness and everything that pertains to
It is the way into UNION WITH THE FATHER AND THE SON THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT (John 17) and the only way
to true COMMUNION.
In UNION LIFE there is no mixture, but only the purity and transparency and FULLNESS of the Spirit of Life.
Father, give us Your grace and let us simply walk out of self into Christ, into the fullness of joy in His Presence,
enjoying Him and abiding in Him and let Him live His Life through us by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

December 7        "Your Thoughts"

"(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing
into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ
" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

Your thoughts can keep you from your destiny.  Don't allow the enemy of your soul to pull you down into the carnality of
the flesh.  The weapons we have to fight with are not carnal.  We cannot use carnal things to overcome carnality.  Our
weapons are spiritual and mighty through God and with those weapons we can overcome and step over into victory.
Use your weapons and don't allow those thoughts to captivate you!  In Luke it says:  "
He hath shewed strength with
his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
" (Luke 1:51)

December 6        "Not going without His presence"

And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence."  Exodus 33:15

This is the summary of our assurance of our blessing for our success: the presence of the Lord.  Without it all our
efforts are futile.  Without the full assurance that He is leading us there is uncertainty and actually we are then leaning
on the arm of flesh which brings a curse.  Let us take heed to follow the example of Moses in making sure that He
leads and we follow.  This way the crooked places will be made straight.  His glory will be our defence, our canopy and
our rear guard.  Then let us be available as glory carriers to bring His kingdom where-ever His presence opens up the

December 5        "As He is so are we"

"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we
in this world.
" (1John 4:17)

Our love is made perfect because we are
like Him (Jesus Christ).  This is the love of God...that His love has given us
the boldness even in the day of judgment for when we have His love and when we are living in His love, then our love is
made perfect.  As He is so are we in this world because we have received His very Spirit.  We are like Him that we may
have boldness to live His love out into a world filled with judgment.  "
Let your light so shine before men, that they may
see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
" (Matthew 5:16)  What does your love look like?
Does it reflect love made perfect?  Does it reflect Jesus or does it reflect your own human love?  You can answer this
questions by asking yourself:  "Do I have fear?"  Because perfect love casts out fear as we see in the next verse.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made
perfect in love.
" (1John 4:18)
Do you know what Jesus was doing while He was teaching these things?  He was washing the feet of His disciples.
So how do I get my love perfected?
Become like Jesus!

December 4        "The Love of God"

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor
things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
"  (Rom 8:38-39)

Paul makes it clear that there is absolutely nothing on earth or in heaven that can separate us from the Love of God.
Even in our sin, He still loves us.  Yes, sin separates us from God, but nothing can separate us form His love.  His love
reaches past sin and unholiness.  That love is in Christ Jesus who died for us in order to manifest the love of God for
us.  Don't ever doubt His love.  Let the words 'God loves you' take on a new meaning in your life.

December 3        "Surrender"

"And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick
against the pricks.  6  And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord
said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
”  (Act 9:5-6) - KJV

Kicking against the pricks is a Syriac expressions meaning that one is stubbornly resisting all ways and going his own
way resulting in pain and a fruitless ending.  It is a fruitless attempt at something.  God was truly asking of Paul to
surrender his own efforts and let God do what He will.  Paul’s Damascus experience was not just a heavenly
encounter and a conversion to Christ.  No, it was a place of total surrender.  Paul then asked the next question which is
a crucial heart issue that should always be shown when surrendering to God.  Paul replied and said, “
Lord, what wilt
thou have me to do?
”.  In essence Paul was saying ‘not my will by Yours be done’.  These are the same words that
Jesus prayed in the garden before His crucifixion.  It is a prayer of surrender.  Paul surrendered and became the
greatest Apostle and author of most of the New Testament.  In today’s Christianity we are given the option to just accept
Jesus and do nothing else and sit back and enjoy Church.  But throughout the Scriptures Christ is calling us to a
deeper level and that is the place of total surrender.  Have you ever gone your own way and found that it is very
frustrating and hard to accomplish your goals?  It is fruitless.  Perhaps a re-evaluation is required to see if you are
trying to make it work on your own.  Friend, why do you want to be in control of your life so much, when Christ gave His
life for you?  Surrender your goals and see that things are much easier when God directs them.  In fact, it all just falls
into place every time.  Let go and let God have His way in your life.  There is no frustration.  There is only perfect trust.

December 2        "Bear Your Cross"

"And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple."  (Luke 14:27)
I cannot be His disciple if I do not bear my cross.  In Matthew 10:28 Jesus say that I am not even worthy of Him if I do
not take my cross and follow Him.  ("
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me." -
Mat 10:38)

It is one thing to follow Jesus, but it is quite another to take my cross and to follow Him.  What is the cross?  The cross
is death!  What does it mean to take my cross?  It means to be crucified with Christ in His death and let Him be
resurrected in me. The cross is surrender!  I need to surrender my desires and my life and wholeheartedly serve Him.
When I come to the place of total surrender, then I can say from my heart with confidence: "
Lord, not my will but yours
be done.  Here is my life do with it whatever you please and let it be for YOUR GLORY!
"  Can you pray that prayer and
really mean it or do you want to add a 'but Lord' in the end.  There is no 'but Lord' in bearing your cross.  Don't drag your
cross and don't think that you are paying someone else to carry it for you (maybe the missionary who is willing to go in
your stead?).

What is keeping you from surrendering?  If you are not wiling, Jesus say that "
Your are not worthy of me".  Ask the
Lord to help you surrender and for you who have already surrendered, take up your cross daily!

December 1        "Peace"

Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.
(Isaiah 26:3)

Perfect peace is obtained when our minds are fixed onto the Lord in whom we trust.  One doesn’t fully trust if he starts
worrying and fretting about his circumstances, but once he enters into perfect peace even while the storms are raging
then that is a sure sign that he trusts His maker implicitly and without doubt or reservation.  He has then allowed his
mind to focus only on the goodness of the Lord and not the bad reports of his circumstances.  He is in faith believing
and trusting in Him who is faithful.  This is a beautiful place to be in because it is then that the Lord can work on our
behalf even behind the scenes to work all things together for good because of our unwavering love towards Him.
