|April 30, 2008 "God Knows Your Location"
"Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Nathanael
saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when
thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God;
thou art the King of Israel. Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig
tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.”
What is so amazing about Jesus seeing Nathanael under the fig tree? We do not know what Nathanael was thinking
or doing under the fig tree, but we do know that Jesus saw him there, whether with the natural eye or with the spiritual
eye. Nathanael did not know that Jesus already knew of him and that took him by surprise. Jesus saw Him under the
fig tree and knew already what Nathanael was thinking. God knows where you are! Jesus knows what you are
thinking. Do not resist Him because you cannot see Him. Know that He already know your situation and your exact
location and He is calling. Do not resist the ‘Philip’ that he sends on your way because God is calling you to come and
see “heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.”
April 29 2008 “Parting With the Old to Receive the New Wine"
Matthew 9:16-17 “No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh
from the garment, and the rent is made worse. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles
break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are
When the new wine, symbolic of the Holy Spirit, is poured out, we cannot receive it in old wineskins. We need to be
willing also to be renewed in the spirit of our minds, making the commitment to embrace change in our habits and
ways of seeing and doing things, in order to walk well-pleasing in the sight of our Father. This happens through
repentance and a turning away from the old, embracing the work of the Holy Spirit in our spirits.
April 28 2008 “Bearing Much Fruit"
Matthew 7:16-20 “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so
every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth
evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn
down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
The question is therefore namely, “what does my fruit look like and taste like?” If my fruit does not pass the test of love,
it has no nutrition and is of no lasting value. Only by the Holy Spirit can I bear His fruit. I cannot try to “fake it”, for the
taste is not convincing. By the washing of the water of the Word, and as I look into His glory, abiding in Him, the
heavenly fruit is produced. So let us get deeper into His Presence (in the vine), abide IN HIM and we will bear much
fruit for His glory (John 15).
April 27, 2008 “Being Mindful of the Things of God”
Mark 8:33 “But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind
me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men."
To follow the instructions of the Most High, it will invariably cost us our self life. The question is whether we are mindful
of our own interests, or of the things of God. Peter has not had the revelation yet that to die, is to live. We need a
paradigm shift! If we desire to follow Him, it will cost us the denial of our own desires and our selfish mindsets have to
go to the cross. Jesus set the example of the greatest love, namely to lay down our lives for the brethren and follow
after Him and, in so doing we will rise up in resurrection power of the Holy Spirit.
April 26, 2008 “The Mystery of The Cross”
Mark 8:34 “And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will
come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.“
This seems like a contradiction, but Jesus was revealing the mystery locked up in the cross, which is the centrality of
the gospel of the Kingdom. In order for Him truly to have the throne of our hearts, we need to lose our self life for His
sake and the gospel’s, so that His life can be lived through us for His glory! Halleluyah!
April 25, 2008 “The Secret of Multiplication”
John 12:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if
it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.“
The secret of multiplication is in the dying of the seed. Our life is like a seed that has to die in order to be multiplied.
As we carry the death of the Lord Jesus in every situation, it will produce His life in others.
April 24, 2008 “Hating The Self-Life"
John 12:25 “He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.”
When we get a revelation of what the self-life looks like in the eyes of God, we will cry out for deliverance and grace at
the same time and surrender our lives gladly to the control of Holy Spirit, never to take it up again.
April 23, 2008 "The Secret of Overcoming Self”
Romans 6:11 “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus
Christ our Lord.“
Paul gives us the secret of “reckoning”. Too often we tend to be lenient on the indulgences of the flesh, and live double
standards. Paul gives clear instruction to take a stand against the sin of the flesh and “reckon yourself to be dead
indeed unto sin”. This “reckoning” is an adamant resolve of the will and a change of mind to be alive unto God through
the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
April 22, 2008 "Holiness"
1 Thessalonians 4:7 "For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness."
Christ loves righteousness and hates iniquity, therefore He has called us away unto Himself, to separate ourselves
from the world and pursue holiness in the fear of the Lord. He is holy and therefore his admonition is to “Be holy”. As
we worship Him in the beauty of His holiness, the light of the Spirit shines on every impurity in our hearts and we are
transformed by repentance and the sanctifying power of the blood of Jesus.
April 21, 2008 “Beholding Him”
John 1:29 "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away
the sin of the world."
The question everyone has to ask himself is this: “What am I beholding?” Are my heart’s eyes fixed on the Lord or is
anything in my life taking my attention away from the Lord. Whatever that is, MUST BOW and be brought in subjection to
His rule and reign in my life.
Matthew 3:12 "Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner;
but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
Let the Lord winnow out everything in your life which is not of Him, so that he can be enthroned in your heart, your mind
and emotions, your will be totally submitted to Him.
April 20, 2008 "The Smoke of the Incense"
2 Corinthians 2:14-15 "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh
manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them
that are saved, and in them that perish"
Let our lives become a continual burnt offering to Him, every thought, every act, every deed being a sweet fragrance
unto the Lord, bringing Him glory and honor and praise continually. This implies that there is a continual work of
cleansing going on in my heart, so that what remains will only be bathed in His glory.
April 19, 2008 "Wisdom"
Proverbs 15:33 "The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility."
Often God will put us through the test of humility to equip us and empower us to receive honour, so that we will know
how to give it right back to God, to whom all honour belongs. If we are not ready to take the lower place in patience and
true humility, we are not ready to be a true dispenser of His glory.
April 18, 2008 "Honour"
Proverbs 29:23 "A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit."
Those who are truly humble in spirit, with a contrite heart, are honoured with the abiding Presence of the Lord, who
dwells with those having a humble spirit. These are the ones who are poor in spirit and shall inherit the earth and
shall reign as kings and priests with Christ in His Kingdom. They have learnt the meekness and lowliness of the Lord
by taking up His cross, denying themselves and following hard after Him, their humility being their honour.
April 17, 2008 "The Lord, our Canopy of Protection"
Isaiah 4:5 "And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud
and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence."
Isaiah 4:6 "And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge,
and for a covert from storm and from rain."
Mount Zion is, allegorically speaking, the place of intimacy and worship and here we have such glorious promises of
God’s nearness and protection for all to see – also our enemy! And under the shadow of that glory-canopy we are
totally hidden from the view and reach of the devil. God’s glory shall be our defense! What an awesome inspiration to
come to the secret place of hiddenness and be totally enveloped in the glory! It is an open invitation and a sure
promise, so “Come!”
April 16, 2008 "Jehovah Nissi, our Banner!"
Isaiah 13:2 "Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may
go into the gates of the nobles."
This is a call to take the land and that it will be an easy conquest! The Lord is our Banner, Jehovah Nissi, and where
His standard is raised on the mountain of worship, everything has to submit to His rule and authority and He opens
the gates before us to go through to take possession of our promises! Sound your voice as a trumpet and declare your
victory, calling others with the wave of your hand to enter in and rejoice in Him!
April 15, 2008 "Why doubt?"
"And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But
when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And
immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore
didst thou doubt?" Matthew 14:29-31
Jesus said to Peter when he was starting to sink Why did you doubt? There is absolutely no reason for doubt when
God has already showed the way for us through His example. The Jews did not understand the example that Jesus
had set forth but His works screamed it out loud in the marketplace.
"Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the
Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's
name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep
hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" John 10:24-27
Does your work bear witness of Jesus? Or does it bear witness of doubt. Doubt will allow you to sink just as Peter was
sinking when he started walking on the water. If you work does not bear witness of Christ, then it is time that you start
learning to hear is voice. Shut out the voices of reasoning, doubt and confusion and start listening to the voice of your
April 14, 2008 "Trust in Him"
Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."
When we put our trust in the Lord in every situation of our lives, we can ask for His wisdom and understanding to guide
us and show us the way and He will make the mountains of obstruction to come down, the low places to be filled up,
the crooked places to be made straight as we wait upon Him and rejoice in His loving care. Then He will also receive
all the glory for His goodness and grace.
April 13, 2008 "Abiding"
1 Corinthians 1:24-27 "But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the
wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than
men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many
noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen
the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;"
Here we see that we have no excuse not to follow the calling of God, for He doesn't need our ability or our wisdom to
accomplish His purposes. And herein lies the secret, that we would draw from the wisdom of God by abiding IN HIM
and glory in His power and ability, not ours:
1 Corinthians 1:30-31 "But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness,
and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord."
April 12, 2008 "The Mystery"
1 Corinthians 2:7-8 "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained
before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would
not have crucified the Lord of glory."
Believers live by the wisdom of God, which is hidden in a mystery: Christ the hope of glory in our hearts. He is the
essence of the mystery, the secret power in whom we live, move and have our being and by tapping in to His wisdom,
we will fulfill His purposes for our existence in the world and fulfill our destiny which He has pre-ordained for us before
the beginning of the world. Thereby will He be glorified.
April 11, 2008 "The Other Side"
"Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go
over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth." Luke 8:22
God is calling us to cross over and go through the gates to the other side. What is the other side? It is the place of
total victory. Only totally surrendered holy vessels can cross over to the other side. From that place you can rule and
reign with Christ. It is a choice but you have to say yes to it. God wants to take you to the other side. Lay down those
things that keep you fenced in and cross over from the flesh to the Spirit.
"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the
Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in
April 10, 2008 "Go Through"
"Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the
stones; lift up a standard for the people. Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the
daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. And they
shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not
forsaken." Isaiah 62:10-12
It is time for you to go through the gates that is keeping you from doing what God has instructed. He has said it, will He
not do it? Lift up the standard of holiness for the people whom you are influencing. Do not let that standard be taken
down because of the order of the day or because of anything else that even sounds good. Prepare the way for the
people who are on their way to holiness. Prepare the way and clean up the path so they can cross over with ease.
Make the way approachable because their Salvation is near. Jesus the Saviour is soon to appear. But keep your ways
holy for that is what is truly being sought after, a pillar of strength that shall not be forsaken.
April 9, 2008 "Love of God"
"But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the
love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." Jude 1:20-21
In these two verses we find faith, love and hope. Build yourself up in your most holy faith so you can be kept in the love
of God and to receive that mercy that is unto eternal life. It is up to us to make the step to build ourselves up. The rest
is the working of the Holy Spirit. Let us humble ourselves by taking that step of faith to keep praying in the Holy Ghost.
Then can the love of God flow through you to the unsaved whom you are to pull out of the fire as we see in the next
couple of verses:
"And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present
you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy," Jude 1:22-24
You cannot have that compassion if you are have not kept yourself in the love of God. Your own love cannot extend
mercy to the lost.
Let us build ourselves up in that holy faith so we be presented faultless before the presence of His glory!
April 8, 2008 "Jesus the Shepherd"
“Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the
shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.” Zechariah 13:7
This verse is a prophecy of Jesus. When Jesus quoted it he simply prepared the disciples of what was to happen but
in the next verse gave them comfort also.
“Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the
shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. But after I am risen again, I will go before you into
Galilee.” Matthew 26:31-32 We see then that Christ is referred to here as the Shepherd of His people. He is the head
shepherd. What Jesus did in verse 32 (“But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.”) is was giving
direction and comfort. He cares for and comforts and give direction for his flock so that they will not be scattered.
Jesus is the Shepherd who cares and comforts and give direction to his people. He does not want to see you be
scattered and therefore He placed the people in your lives which are there today.
April 7, 2008 "Pure Religion"
"But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer
of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his
tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the
Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
This is love, that we do what Jesus has done. Do not let you your religion be in vain by cutting out the love of Christ
which is to flow through you. Christ is love, allow Him to flow through your life.
"And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all
faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing." 1 Corinthians 13:2
April 6, 2008 "Patience"
"Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may
be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." James 1:3-4
April 5, 2008 "Wisdom"
James 1:5 ”If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it
shall be given him.”
This is the one thing that King Solomon asked above all other things he could have asked for and it will serve us well to
ask for divine Wisdom, as we have the promise that God will give it to us. And we will be amazed to see how God
supplies us with insight and that “knowing” to do the right thing in every situation. It also shows our dependence on
God and He will always honor that. So, let us ask en receive the wisdom that is from above:
James 3:17 “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full
of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.“
April 4, 2008 "Alive unto God"
"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have
believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the
works of the law shall no flesh be justified." Galatians 2:16
"I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." Galatians 2:
Paul is explaining in this chapter how the law is ineffective without the Spirit, because the law is already fulfilled in
Christ. How many are still living under the bondage of the law? They are 'dead unto God but alive unto the law'. Paul
says in verse 19 and 20 "For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with
Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the
faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:19-20)
Step over into the Spirit by faith start seeing the mystery of Christ revealed to you.
April 3, 2008 "Living Epistles"
"Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or
letters of commendation from you? Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with
the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart." 2 Corinthians 3:1-3
When we live a holy life, we need not recommend, exalt or speak out on our own behalf. We are read of all men without
us having to say a single. Can men read Christ in you or do you have to speak for yourself? If you live a holy life set
apart for God, it will be read by all. Is the Word of God written on your heart or is it still on tables of stone in your life?
Become a living stone and let it be for His glory and not your own.
April 2, 2008 "Servanthood"
"And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be
ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." Mark 10:44-45
Christ showed us the perfect example of humility. When we seek to be important, we will not carry any lasting authority
in this important role, but when we choose to be a servant, we will reach the ultimate goal. Servanthood does not
come in the way that we would expect. It is a choice we make in the everyday details. What will you choose?
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
April 1, 2008 "Faith"
Hebrew 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.“
When I open my mouth and speak the word of God by faith, I release substance into the atmosphere that will effect
change. When I speak to the mountain of obstruction, it will fall into the sea, because I speak by faith.
So let us weigh our words before we utter anything, listening for the heart of God in the situation and counter anything
negative with the creative word of life that will bring forth that which we hope for and we will see the evidence of it!
